I wanted to capture the yearning dreams lurking behind the
shores of the Aare: the cool spectrum of the green water,
the freshness of the passing waves, the depth of the river…

A unique, verdant and gently aquatic fragrance, evocative of the crisp freshness of the Aare River. A wonderful souvenir of Bern as well as an ideal gift for those yearning for their hometown. 

The sparkling crispness of this Eau de Parfum arises through the lightness of its head note, composed of green tea and white blossoms. The fresh, ozonic note framing this scent strives to capture the cool, gentle flow of the Aare, the river of Bern. In addition, Brigitte Witschi, the perfumer, has also used the remarkable ingredient Hedione.

Hedione, is derived from the name of the Greek goddess, Hedone representing pleasure, enjoyment and delight. The fresh floral scent of Hedione, together with the freshness of the other ingredients in "aarewasser" results in a bright, sparkling and radiant fragrance. Research has indicated that Hedione activates a pheromone receptor in our subconscious, which gives rise to heightened feelings of motivation and of pleasure. For this reason, Hedione has been billed the scent of success. 

The secret that sets "aarewasser" apart does not only lie in its composition and production, nor does it lie in its local craftsmanship. It is the fresh glow of the wearer shining from within. 

The third fragrance from the "BERN COLLECTION" is dedicated to the roses of the Bern rose garden.

The rose garden, located high above the city of Bern, offers a unique view of the old town and of the Aare loop.  In summer, over 250 types of roses bloom there, enchanting visitors from all over the world with their flowers and scents.  The rose scent has, for centuries, been famous for its healing, caring and harmonizing properties.

The rose garden is also well-known locally as a romantic meeting place and it is the only place in the city which offers such a sublime experience of the sunset from a seat on the garden wall on a mild summer evening.

The rose perfume from the Bern perfume studio captures this romantic, sensual and gentle world of scents.

The fragrance of the “rose garden” first transports you to a walk through the fresh and the floral world of the park.  There in your mind’s eye, you evoke a green freshness inspired by the coolness of the water lily pond and combined with dew drops from dark-green rose petals.

Then the rose releases the full power of its scent, as its blossom blitz opens to reveal its unique, floral scent.

Seamlessly, the fragrance is rounded off and deepened by its sensual musk, which combines gently and warmly with its floral demeanor:

The Jungfrau mountain, with its imposing presence and purity, conveys a feeling of untouchedness and clarity that fits perfectly with the idea of a virgin as a symbol of purity, innocence and untouched nature. 
I immersed myself in pictures, paintings and photos of the mountain landscape and various depictions of virgins and gathered inspiration and fragrance impressions: delicate, soft, crystal clear, tender, powdery, auspicious, gentle, white as snow...and I finally wanted to unite all this in my perfume composition: the purity and gentleness of the snow-covered mountain and the delicate untouchedness of a virgin.

Edelweiss was used as love spells and then given as tokens of love. The head note of this scent calls to mind the soft, velvety whiteness of the Edelweiss itself. The heart note is a resounding light and flowery harmony whose luminous power underlines this mountain blossom. The base note is inspired by its velvety soft blossom leaves, which lend themselves to a warm, powdery, and yet mysterious scent. This fragrance surrounds you with a gentle freshness, which slowly settles into a powdery, enchanting whiff.
